Ultimately, there was only the tower and the view to see at the roof of the Cathedral of Évora. Besides, it helped me find out what else there is to see here. I decided to hurry up with my visit since it was almost noon time. The sun was out and it was getting very hot outside. I think staying in the cathedral might be a good idea. One of the places which I got to see in the cathedral was the choir. This is obviously where the choir sits. It is built in the traditional choir style which is separate from the rest of the congregation. This was also built above the congregation probably for better acoustics.

Traditional choirs are usually wooden seats which are seated face to face. The choirmaster would probably be right in the middle to manage the choir itself. The wooden seats of the choir are carved with various motifs. However, what struck me most was how narrow the choir was considering how large the cathedral looked from the outside. There is also a very old organ here which is the oldest in Portugal. The choir is actually cordoned off so visitors can only have a look at it from the outside. This is probably because the choir is so narrow that visitors would accidentally knock something down such as that amazing music stand in the center of the choir.
