While Polebridge was an interesting stop, there was actually very little reason for me to hang around here. The community was so small you can see everything in 5 minutes. On top of that, the road was muddy so it was difficult to move around. I probably will make a mess of the mat in the car when I get back on. Hopefully, that is something I can just shake off. After I had my share of bear claw pastry, I decided to continue on with my drive. There are a few places to see here in North Fork and my next desintation is Bowman Lake.
On the way out of Polebridge, there were already signs pointing to the lake so it was just a matter of following the signs. I still had my satnav on just in case I miss anything. The road to the lake was a winding road and it was just as rough as the road to Polebridge itself. One can’t really hurry here since the road is so bad you’d probably ruin your suspension if you drive too fast. I guess it is best to try to enjoy the drive. Along the way, the route would climb up a mountain and you can see a view of the area. Immediately, you can see the remains of a forest fire which engulfed the region not too long ago. It may be sad to see things like these but it is worth remembering that fire are part of the cycle of forests. If they grow too much, there would be more to burn and fires would be much worse.
