Cliffs of Benwee Head

I would seem that I haven’t visited cliffs in a long time but in this trip, Benwee Head is already my third one and I was just following the main road to seem them. There are probably others which don’t have large signs pointing to them. I would like to think that people have already picked the best ones and these would be the ones with signs. Benwee Head isn’t that high but it is quite long. Most of the coast along this area is probably cliff because of its location facing the Atlantic. Apart from the main road which brought me here, there isn’t really any other road unless you count the ones used by the local farmers.

One way I explore Benwee Head to head to the left (when facing the Atlantic) side and just bring the car there. There is no road here but you can still bring the car there. You can get other views of the area from here. In particular you can see some outlying island here which also have similar landscapes like Benwee Head. It wouldn’t be far fetched to imagine that those islands used to be connected to the mainland sometime back. This area is also considered a Gaeltacht or a place where Irish is spoken as a primary language. I actually never met anyone here but I’m sure that they would also know English.
