There was a long weekend and I thought it would be nice to go out to the country for a bit. It wasn’t the best of weather unfortunately, I had already booked a place to stay in so I needed to push through with it. I would be traveling down to county Mayo and eventually Galway to follow part of the Wild Atlantic Way. I wouldn’t consider county Mayo that near anymore since it is actually quite large. I would be following the coastline and see some sights. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t that good that morning, the forecast says that it will improve over the course of the day.
My first stop will be Downpatrick Head. I guess this is already quite routine for me to run into another amazing cliff side here in the Atlantic coast of Ireland. Although there are quite common in this area, I never stop of get amazed by these places. Come of think of it, the cliffs of Moher isn’t that far from here and I think there would be smaller versions of it elsewhere in the country. I merely followed the signs to Downpatrick Head and eventually found myself a viewing area. The winds were powerful and the rain was falling. It was definitely not optimal photography conditions, however this probably gives visitors a better idea of life in Ireland.
