It was my second time to visit Malin Head and this time I didn’t go walking around the area. I did climb up the hill near the carpark to get a better view of the area, something which I didn’t do before. However, the view wasn’t that different since the hill wasn’t the high. There was no sign that there was ever a star wars filming here except probably for that mobile coffee shop. Other than that, they didn’t leave any trace. This is quite unlike Skellig Michael where Luke Skywalker was supposed to have hidden himself. There were a lot of signs proclaiming that Skellig Michael is where Star Wars was filmed, which is true, but it is known for more important things than that.
Anyway, the weather was turning bad and I decided to continue on the Inishowen 100. I think I still have a lot of ground to cover since I wasn’t even halfway through the driving route. I think there ware less stops in the second half so I might still finish this before the sun goes down. My next stop is a short stop as this place called Malin Well. It was actually in Google Maps and it was near enough Malin Head that it was worth a detour. This place didn’t seem to be visited that much but there were still signs pointing to it.
