If there is something I learn about County Fermanagh, it is that it has an abundance of water. A look at the map will tell that the Lough Erne dominates the area. There are numerous rivers and streams which feed into the lake. I thought it would be nice to have a photo of the lake side but I wasn’t sure where I can get one. Fortunately, there are several signs which point the way to the water along the main road. It seems that fishing is quite a part of the life of the people here in the county what with all this water.
I followed a sign which pointed the way to the lake and it brought us to a lot. From there we can approach the water. It seem that this is a place for people to catch fish. There are several stands built on top of the water. Fishing enthusiasts can then bring a chair and just throw the bait and wait for a fish to bite. When I was younger, I thought that this is probably something fun to do but in reality there is a lot of waiting involved. I guess it won’t be as boring with smartphones and all that technology but this is probably something I don’t consider doing. That being said, there is a walkway which follows the shoreline all the way to the other side of the lake. I don’t think it goes all the way around but I thought it was nice to have something like that.
