Enniskillen Castle
It has been several months since I went on a trip but my budget doesn’t allow for one at the moment. Fortunately for me, Ireland has a lot of places to visit. Some of them are quite near where I am staying. In the rare days where the weather wasn’t that bad, I would sometimes go on road trips just to get a change of scenery. It was that kind of day, it was overcast and it wasn’t raining, which in a lot of days, the best you can get for a long time. I decided to make a trip to county Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. Because of the odd borders of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, I had to travel south to get to county Fermanagh which is in Northern Ireland.
Towers of Enniskillen Castle
The destination I had in mind was the town of Enniskillen. I remember seeing this name in street signs and I keep wondering what is there to see in Enniskillen. I realized that it wasn’t too far away from where I was so I just made the trip there. There seem to be a few interesting places to see here in Eniiskillen and its surrounding areas so it was probably worth a day trip. Little did I know that it would beceom a castle hopping tour of county Fermanagh.
