I was wrapping up my visiting to Bordeaux and France as a whole. I did a half day of exploring some of the important sites in Bordeaux and I am sure that I have missed a lot of them. For now, I am just relaxing by walking along the main shopping street that is Rue Sainte-Catherine. It is actually not just a shopping streets, there are also a lot of restaurants along this long strip. The odds are that I would end up eating at one of these places tonight. The Rue Saint-Catherine isn’t really that wide but someone this ended up being the major shopping street. I did notice that the street is straight so you will just keep on walking from one end to another.
I was enjoying my walk and I realized that how nice these types of places are. I know I frequent shopping malls before but this sort of thing is really nice as well. It is a pity that they are not that common in other parts of the world. Speaking of shopping malls, it turns out that Rue Sainte-Catherine also has one in Promenade Sainte-Catherine. It wasn’t a huge nor a big mall but it was the closest thing to one here. The mall has an open layout with a small square in the center. It was almost like walking along Rue Sainte-Catherine itself except this one seems to be fancier.
