I took the train back from Krakow to Warsaw. It was chilly that morning and I noticed that there was ice on the ground. I don’t think I was prepared for full blown winter here. I think my jacket was warm enough but it got wet the other day at the Auschwitz. Fortunately, for me, my trip was ending soon. I am making my way to Warsaw to chill out before heading home. I wasn’t able to book the same place I had the first time I was here since it wasn’t available but I think I got a far superior place.
I still stayed at the Old Town of Warsaw only because I didn’t know any better. Like the previous time I was here, the apartment I got was managed by a company but this time I got access to the apartment much quicker. It was much larger than what I need, but who am I to complain. The sitting room was very spacious. The bed was a bit low but it was still nice. It even came with a kitchen but I didn’t really need it. The only think I didn’t like about it was that the building was under renovation and there were scaffolds. Getting in an out of the building was a bit of an adventure since you don’t know if there was construction going on directly overhead.
The scaffolds were all around the building, this meant that at the time of my stay, there were construction workers walking outside the window. This was easily solved by curtains but it was still unnerving to see people outside the window. Because of this, I wasn’t able to let the light in that much. Apart from that issue, I loved my stay here, it is seldom that I get such a spacious place all to myself.
