Bedroom at the Hotel Ibis Budget Avignon Centre
I spent the whole day exploring the two UNESCO World Heritage sites Pont du Gard and the Roman Theater of Orange that I realized that I haven’t checked in to my hotel yet. I arrived in the hotel very early that morning and the room wasn’t ready at that time. I just left my bags with reception and I just went on the day exploring to locations. I have come back from Orange and back at the Gare d’Avignon Centre which is nearer the historic center of Avignon. I wasn’t sure why there was a separate station but perhaps the main station is the one used for the high speed trains and that this one is just a suburban train line.

The hotel I will be staying at is the Hotel Ibis Budget Avignon Centre. I tend to scrimp on accommodations and this appeared to be the best deal for me at that time. I love the convenience of having the hotel near the train station so I don’t have to worry about being late for the train. The city center is just a short walk away which makes this a good location. The room I got at the hotel was quite spacious. The bed was actually comfortable. I was thinking that it is actually not bad for a budget hotel. It is not that fanciest place, and it may not be up to everyone’s taste but as long as this is a place which is clean, safe and convenient, it would be okay for just me to stay in. If I were to complain about something, then it would have to be that the fence in the shower is too small and it is too easy to make a mess when taking a shower.
