The sun was starting to set when I was still in the town of Orange. I decided to call it quits. I had been a very busy day for me. I managed to visit two UNESCO World Heritages sites in a day and I think I was starting to feel tired. I started to walk back to the train station. The train station in within walking distance of the town center. Fortunately, it was still light outside so I was easy for me to find the station. I remembered that I never took a photo of the train station, probably because there wasn’t much to the station itself.
A lot of train station have been designed to be destinations onto themselves but Gate d’Orange seems to have missed the memo. The design of the station wasn’t very note worthy. I think it doesn’t even look like a train station if it weren’t for sign pasted in front of the station. There were a lot of cars parked outside the station and there were also a few men hanging about the station. This made me feel a little nervous since they didn’t have any particular reason to be hanging about there. I bravely walked past them without incident. Trains from Orange to Avignon are quite frequent, so I didn’t have to wait long to board the train.
