I had a great night’s sleep that night. There wasn’t much of the bad weather the previous night and I was glad. I would be leaving the beautiful city of Lyon that morning. I will be catching a train as I move onwards. I intentionally chose a hotel which was near the train station. I just didn’t realize how near I actually was until I got there. The stairs to the train station was not very far from the hotel entrance so I was glad that I didn’t have to rush to get there. I had purchased my tickets the previous day so I don’t have to worry about figuring out the ticketing system.
Gare de Lyon-Perrache as the station is called is a massive train station right in the center of the city of Lyon. It is right there where the historic district is which makes it a very convenient point to access Lyon. For me, I will be leaving. It was still early in the morning and the sky was still dark. I thought I arrived a bit too early but I found a seat inside the station where I would wait for the train. I would see the morning rush here, after all Lyon is the second largest city in France.
