Lyon Metro Line A terminates at the Perrache station which happens to be a major railway station in the city of Lyon. When I got off the train I was trying to find the hotel but I was having problems getting me bearings since the train station was so large. I wasn’t sure which exit I needed to take to get to the correct side of the station. After a few mistakes, I randomly picked an exit to take and all of a sudden I was outside and there was the hotel right there. Hôtel des Remparts will be my home for a couple of days and I don’t expect too much from it.
The room I got was probably the cheapest in the entire building. After all, I only needed a place to sleep. The room was tiny, it is probably to be expected. The unit is a long unit with the bed at the furthest end. The window gives a view of the adjacent park which happens to have something on that time of the year, I think I would be visiting that park soon. The bathroom was nice and clean and I don’t really have much to complain about. I was happy with my stay there. The staff was helpful to point me out some places which I might be interested in, especially eating places. Alas, I only have a couple of days here in Lyon, I don’t think I would be able to visit them all.
