It was a strange case, I don’t normally have a lot of vacations one after another but soon after my trip to Poland, I was soon on my way to another part of Europe – France. I needed to use up my leaves lest I forfeit them. So vacation it is then. So why France, I think it was another one of those times where I just look at the map and see where I can go. I visited France four years ago with some friends but it was a tough trip since we were running from one place to another. Apart from that, I wasn’t very happy with the famed French food. I thought I would give France another try. This was not long after the terror attacks that happened in Paris. This actually gave me second thoughts on pursuing this trip. Long story short, I pushed through with it and here I am.
I decided to explore the southern part of France this time around. I would like to think that this part would be slightly less touristed than a Paris. My first port of call would be France’s second city – Lyon. There was no particular reason why I picked to start in Lyon. It seemed like a logical place to start, not to mention that it also has an airport. I plan to start in Lyon then slowly make my way across the south of France. Lyon has a modern airport named Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport. Parts of it appear to be under construction and it seems that the next terminal looks great. Already the current terminal is looking good, I can’t wait for the new one.
