I think I finally got tired of the Royal Palace. There is only so much you can take here. I am very impressed with the incredible restoration done to the Royal castle of Warsaw as well as the Old Town of Warsaw. To put things in perspective, 70 years ago, the entire place was reduced to rubble. Everything that can be seen now has been painstakingly restored to close to its original look. I’m sure some artistic license has been carried out for structures which don’t have a photo. Regardless, this is probably one of the greatest restoration works I have ever seen.
Right next to the Royal Castle is another palace named the Tin Roofed Palace or sometimes called the Copper Roofed Palace. This strange name is obviously coming from the roof of the palace. This is more accurately made of copper and not tin. This structure has been rebuilt over the centuries and the latest was from the destruction of World War II. I didn’t get to go in the Tin Roofed Palace as the doors seemed to be closed at the time. I wasn’t sure if it was open to visitors as it would have been a shame not to have seen the interiors since I was already here.
