It was a rainy morning in Warsaw and I didn’t have plans. It was already the end of my trip and I just wanted to rest for the day. I was out in the Old Town of Warsaw looking for stuff when I noticed that the Royal Castle was actually open for visits. It was actually hard to tell since it appears to be under renovation. I never really got a proper photo of the castle because of this perhaps that would be in another visit. The royal castle in Warsaw is probably the largest structure here in the old town. It lies someone outside the old town center, perhaps that is because there was more space outside the square.
I head towards the entrance of the castle which is off to the right of the castle walls. There is a passageway which leads to the inner courtyard. There is a ticket office here and I managed to land a free ticket. I believe they limit the number of visitors to the royal palace and I was lucky to be one of the first in the day to get a ticket. We were led to the other side of the courtyard where there was an entrance to the building itself. There was the visitor center here. People can start their tour of the castle by following the arrows.
