I originally planned on renting a car from Krakow to be able to explore the place properly. The plan was to bring the car out of Krakow, to the city of Torun and then the Malbork. That didn’t work out very well, I only rented the car for a day and I used public transport the rest of the time. Public transport in Poland was convenient enough for me not to need a car. This probably applies for the more popular tourist spots. The next place I would be visiting would be a train ride away from Warsaw. This is two hours away by train, I purchased tickets to the place the previous day so I won’t be rushing to get a ticket.
The train leaves from Warsaw central which is not a familiar place for me. The ride would not be that long but it allows me some rest before all of that exploration that is to come. From the map, it seems that the main attraction is a bit of a walk from the train station. Hopefully this would be worth visiting since this is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once I arrived at Malbork station, things weren’t looking very good. There weren’t a lot of people who got off the train. Maybe this place wasn’t as popular as I imagined it to be. Oh well, I will just have to find out.
