I was enjoying my tour of the countryside of southern Poland. I was visiting the churches which are part of the Wooden Churches of Southern Lesser Poland UNESCO World Heritage site listing. I’ve never explored a new place like this and I thought it was almost like a treasure hunt – with cars. I needed to move on to the next town and it seems that the next town will also be some distance away. The village of Sękowa is said to be just less than an hour away from Binarowa. It takes me even further south and almost to the border with Slovakia. It was tempting to see if I can cross the border but I don’t have time for that. I will have to stick to my plan.
I was already getting the hang of driving on the right. It was surprising how quickly I adjusted. I just needed to get out of the city to avoid the traffic and soon I was good. The good thing about driving here in the country is that there is hardly any traffic. I probably won’t have to worry about traffic until I get back to Krakow that evening. Additionally, the wooden churches don’t seem to be a popular tourist attractions either, most of the time, you would have the church all to yourself.
