It is a good thing that these wooden churches of Southern Lesser Poland are relatively small. It makes it easy for me to visit, take a few photos and move on to the next one. Each one of these churches are unique in their own right. However, they do tend to look alike especially with the very similar architecture. When I was reviewing the photos, I would go back several times to make sure that I was referring to the correct church. I would look it up in the internet to make sure I got the right one.
The church itself has some kind of fence around it also made of wood. It didn’t seem to be the type to keep people away since I was able to enter the place myself. Perhaps it was meant to keep animals aways back in the day. These days, the only animals which may come here are cats and dogs. The very low roof is really misleading since you would think it is a strangely built church. I never got an explanation for the lower than normal floor of the church, perhaps this area was lower than it was back then. Rather than having to touch the church, they just left it like that and built around it.
