It seems that it was finally the end of the road here at the Wieliczka Salt Mine. I have finished eating lunch and I was trying to find my way out. There were still a few chambers along the way. I thought it was nice of them to repurpose the empty chambers to something more interesting such a banquet hall or a concert hall. Indeed it has already happened, some of these chambers are available for rent for events. It would have been a very interesting event if it was in a venue deep underground. I think getting people down to the chambers would be a problem unless they are willing to walk.
One of the chambers here has been turned into another chapel. I was already impressed with the Chapel of Saint Kinga which seemed to be the highlight of the visit. It was surprised to see yet another chapel. This one seems to be a lot smaller and actually more chapel-like. The chapel of Saint John is said to be able to fit 40 people in for Mass. It is said to be the symbol of the faith of the miners. I think having two beautiful chapels are already a statement.
