After a very heavy meal of pancake beef goulash, I needed to walk off all the food on the way back to the apartment. It was a very straightforward walk back to the apartment. I was surprised to know this myself since I had to take several detours on the way to the main market square. Those wandering wasn’t all for naught as I was able to see a lot of that attractions of Krakow. The next day I had to leave early to be able to catch a bus to the next attraction. I was glad that Krakow serves as a very good base for exploring the surrounding area. There are a lot of connections here to practically anywhere in Poland. I won’t be going very far though.
There is a well known salt mine near Krakow and I wanted to visit it. The mine is accessible by public bus so you just need to know which one to take. The apartment owner already gave me instructions on how to get there. I had to get to the main highways which is about 15 minutes from the apartment. Unfortunately, it was raining and it made finding the bus stop harder. I found a bus stop but unfortunately, it was for the opposite direction. Eventually, I found the stop and got on the bus. There would be a transfer after a few stops so I needed to be aware of where I was. Fortunately, there was Google Maps for that. The buses was eventually filled up. There is a ticket kiosk on the bus itself and you just have to punch in the ticket you are purchasing. It was easy enough to use since there was an English option. I eventually arrived in the town of Wieliczka in one piece. You will know once everyone starts leaving the bus.
