The Krakow Market Square was a joy to be in. It is just as pretty at night as it is in the daytime. I had a great time taking photos of the landmarks at night since they were all nicely lit at night. It is very good that they decided to do that. Probably not really surprising since Krakow is one of the country’s biggest draws and it wouldn’t hurt to improve things a bit. One thing about the market square at night as that you realize how big the place actually is. The square is dark at night because there are not a lot of buildings in the square itself.
The square is so large that it is difficult to illuminate the entire place. That does not deter visitors from walking all over the square. There aren’t a lot of seats here in the square apart from a few around the fringes. There brightest parts of the square are around the surrounding buildings. These have restaurants below and the lights from these establishments brighten up the night. Obviously, they would want customers to see them and to see what they were eating. I starting going around the square again to see if there are any interesting places to eat here.
