The town hall tower at the main square in Krakow is not that tall but it is among the tallest structures in the vicinity. It gives visitors a look at the old town of Krakow from a different angle. The square itself has been cleared of most of the buildings here leaving just the tower and the cloth market beside it. From the top, one immediately notices how flat the old town is. The most obvious buildings here would be the numerous cathedrals and churches which Krakow doesn’t seem to have a lack of. From here, I can see where I came from. It seems it was a long walk from my apartment, no wonder I was tired.
It was a good thing that I had a look. Now I know how to get out of the old town. It wasn’t that complicated after all. Closer to the square, or rather actually in the square is another prominent church – St. Mary’s Basilica. This one seem to be rather special, especially with its location. I am sure I will have to visit that church. This early, I think I was already liking Krakow much more than Warsaw. The travel guides were not wrong, Krakow is where much of the happening stuff is.
