I decided to visit Wawel Castle another day. It seems that there interiors of the castle are something not to be missed. It was already late afternoon and I probably won’t have time to properly visit the castle. I continued on from the castle and reached the Vistula River. You could think of the Vistula River as the birthplace of Krakow. The Wawel Castle has a very strategic location along the river as well as a very good location for photographs.
The Vistula River near the old town has a nice promenade where people can chill and walk along the river banks. I am pleasantly surprised at how properly maintained this place was. There were also boats along the river and I assume they are for tourists. I didn’t see any boats operating at the time maybe they were off during the winter? The weather at the time was good enough for boat rides but perhaps the fact that it is wide open makes it difficult to operate during winter. As for me, I just took a seat along one of the many benches set up along the river. I was on vacation after all, and I can’t be taking photos every single moment. It was still bright enough outside so I have some time to spare.
