We had a quick snack of sandwich at Slieve League, which I must say was a bit expensive. It is a tourist area and I guess it is to be expected. We finished our sandwiches and proceeded to our next destination. I didn’t know any other destination nearby so I was just riding in the car waiting for the next place. The next destination wasn’t actually very far. It is still near the water but it is almost like a secret location. It is actually part of the Wild Atlantic Way which Slieve League was also a part of.
Malin Beg is probably best described as a hidden gem. I never knew about this place but it seems to be good enough to make it to the Wild Atlantic Way. There are signs which point to the way so it was easy enough to find it from Slieve League. There was a car park at the top from which visitors continue on to hike to where the beach is. The view of the beach is astounding. There were high cliff walls which block and keep the wind out and give the place the hidden cove kind of feel. If this was a tropical paradise, it would have already been swarming with tourists.
