I was exploring the Dingle Peninsula before heading back home. I was on the north side of the peninsula while I was making my way to the town of Dingle which is on the southern side of the peninsula. This means, I will need to cross the peninsula. The peninsula happens to have a mountain range in the center of the peninsula, which would mean I would have to traverse that mountain range to get to Dingle. I was following a sign which points to Conor Pass, which I believe will help me cross the mountain range. This also promises to have great views of the area since they usually have stopovers in places like these for visitors.
To say that I thought I was in the middle of nowhere was an understatement. There were hardly any other towns on the way to the pass. Not surprising, since it would be difficult to get there. The road also winds its way around the mountains which make driving fast quite difficult and dangerous. However, the view on the way up is very good. I just wished I could have stopped along the way to the top, I just comforted myself with the thought that the view would even be better at the top.
