I was surprised with the amount of places which have been made available for tourists here in Valentia Island. It is a tiny island which a lot of see. It seems the people here have done a lot of take advantage of the tourist traffic from the nearby Skellig Michael. There natural sights herre like cliff and mountain top views. There are also historical ones like the lighthouse as well as a standing stone. There were signs all around and it is difficult to get lost here. One of the signs here was particularly intriguing – the tetrapod trackway.
I think have a good idea of what this place is suppose to show. The sign here shows an outline of a prehistoric creature with limbs. I assumed that they found tracks made by this creature. I have always been fascinated with prehistoric creatures, after all who didn’t like dinosaurs when they were a kid. The place proved to be a bit more challenging to find. Although there were signs pointing to the place. Not all corners showed the way. One would be left wondering which road to take. Eventually I managed to find the correct place. However, there is still a bit of walking that needs to be done here. The trackway is actually closer to the sea for obvious reasons. I am actually looking forward to this one.
