My visit around the Ring of Kerry has so far been lackluster. Whitestrand was an unimpressive beach while the Staigue Fort quite nice. For all that driving I certainly haven’t seen much since I left Kenmare earlier in the afternoon. That was about to change. I was finally seeing the sea on the left and I realized that I was driving on the correct side of the road. The left side of the road is the one which is closer to the sea and you get a really good view of the scenery here. I came upon a bend where the scenery just opened up. There was blue sea in front of me and there was a beach up in front.
It helped that the weather at the time was really good. It is not very often to get very good weather so I just thank my lucky stars for this. There is a parking area near the beach and it is a bit elevated so you can get a good look at the beach as well as the surrounding area. The beach didn’t seem to have a name as the sign only said beach. I quickly took a photo of the emerald green waters of the area. I just wished that the road was a bit higher here so the view would be more spectacular.
