I enjoyed my visit to the Cahir and the Swiss Cottage. It seems that Tipperary has a very well developed tourism infrastructure which is good but sometimes it doesn’t feel real anymore. I guess I would prefer a less touristy feel but I do appreciate the convenience which tourism brings. It was close to evening but it was still bright outside since the days were long. I still have a way to travel. I will be traveling to the city of Cork where I will be spending the night. I was intending to visit a few places in Cork but I don’t think I have time for that. I will probably do it the next time I visit this area. For now, Cork will be a place for me to rest.
Though I will be traveling mostly by motorway, it is still an hour’s drive. It was actually fun driving in the motorway since there wasn’t any traffic. However, when I arrived in Cork city, there traffic was quite heavy and it just slowed to a crawl. While I knew that I was almost there, it was still quite far since Cork city seemed to be quite large. I had to go around the city to get to my accommodation. This wasn’t very fast, it was peak of rush hour and everyone was one the road to get home. This is one of the reasons, why I disliked living in the city.
Anyway, I managed to find the house very quickly. It was a nice little house but the owner was nowhere to be found. I called the owner up and found out that there was a funeral he had to attend. The beauty of his setup was that you don’t really need him to be there. He gave me the passcode and I got in. My keys were in the door of the room. It was actually a large room. It had two beds one of which I don’t really need. I only met the owner the following day who prepared a nice breakfast for me.
