The Rock of Cashel a large concentration of structures where the cathedral is. There is the old Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, the Bishop’s Castle and Cormac’s Chapel. I actually didn’t get to see much of the Bishop’s Castle perhaps there was no way in that place. The cathedral and the chapel were open for everybody to visit. One place which might get overlooked would be the structure where most people would enter from. There was actually an audio visual room here but there wasn’t anything playing. I wasn’t sure if you need to pay extra to watch but it didn’t really matter to me.
The next room was apparently an important one. This is the Hall of the Vicars Choral. The vicar would have their choir and I guess this is where they meet or perhaps practice. The hall looks to be in very good condition, and it seems that it really is recently renovated. There were details on the hall which are interesting including a large wooden seal which has The Seal of the College of Saint Patrick Cashel carved on it. I wasn’t really sure what it meant by college here since I didn’t know any school. At the time of my visit, there were a lot of people milling about in the room so I wasn’t able to appreciate the hall very much.
