I managed to arrive in the tourist town of Cashel in one piece. It was actually just a matter of following the national road. There were a lot of signs pointing the way and it was difficult to get lost. I still have my satnav on just in case. As I was entering the town, I noticed how busy it was. Perhaps more noticeable here were the tourist buses. There were numerous signs pointing to parking which points to the number of visitors this place receives. Cashel receives a lot of tourists and it seems that the town is all dressed up for that. Much as I want to explore the town, I need to have lunch first.
It seemed that I arrived just in time for lunch. Not a lot of eating places were open at the time but I managed to find John J Feehan Bar and Restaurant open for lunch. I had some smoke salmon for lunch and I thought it was nice. I seldom eat this kind of food since it looks raw but I thought it was pretty okay. It actually came with chips since I needed the carbohydrates for the exploration I would be doing that afternoon. I am glad with the pace so far, at least I won’t be in a hurry to move from one place to another.
