The roof of the castle gives access to various parts of the castle. Immediately coming up from underground, visitors will be able to see areas where soldiers and staff would be doing their work. There was an area where soldier can train, there was dummy that is typically seen in medieval movies which is normally used to training. There was also another part which appears to be the blacksmith. This would be the one who will forge weapons for the soldiers. It was actually interesting to see these, maybe it would be nice if there was a real blacksmith here acting out the role but I think that would be very tiring, not to mention expensive.
Instead they have large screen television sets. The screens shows various characters depending on where the screen is. For example there might be a video of a blacksmith playing his role and he would be talking about how it was to do his work at that time. I find these amusing since they try to make the video as lifelike as possible. How so? The video is actually manually activated. Visitors only need to press a button to play the video. However, when the video finishes, another video plays, that is of the same character not doing anything, looking bored, looking at something interesting behind you. I thought that was a nice touch. I have seen this in Dublin and it is nice to see it here too.
