I believe I was making my way back to the castle and walking away from Bunratty House. The Bunratty House was on a small elevation so residents can have a nice view of the area. For less moneyed people, there is always a farmhouse. On my way back, I ran into this house which seemed to be part of the folk park as well. This was the Hazelbrook House. It was a two storey stone house and it looked modern enough. Apparently, this place was owned by the Hughes Brothers who lived here in the 1800s. They started a dairy company and eventually founded HB Ice cream which is well known in Ireland to this day.
I thought it was just another house to see here. There was no sign of the ice cream here but I thought the interiors of the house were tasteful. Much like the other houses, people can only have a look at the door. There was no one to explain what I was seeing and I only knew about the Hazelbrook House through the map that was given us. If you are already here, might as well have a look around the house to see how people lived back then.
