I think I was nearing the end of my tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I have seen too many beautiful works of art that I was already getting numb. It is too bad since a lot of these works are quite good. I don’t think I have seen a lot of very famous works unlike the museums in Europe. Or perhaps I was just not aware how famous some of these works are. I finally came to a gallery which features a lot of paintings. It was one beautiful painting after another. Some of them look familiar though.
The paintings of Pierre-Auguste Cot in particular stood out for me. I like how playful the images are and for some reason they look familiar. I didn’t know who the artist was and I needed to look it up after fortunately, I took a photo. The painting gallery was also quite extensive as it spanned several rooms. I don’t really know how much more I can take and I was half wishing that the exit was nearby. On a side note, I just found out you can purchase reprints of these paintings. While these paintings may look a bit out of place in an ordinary house, I was good to know that it is possible to buy them.
