Mayon Volcano

I managed to get back to Cagsawa Ruins from the Hoyop-hoyopan Cave. I realized that it was a somewhat clear day. I had to pay the entrance fee again but it wasn’t expensive in the first place. You need to get in to get a photo of the volcano with the beltower of Cagsawa. This is probably the most iconic photo spot for Mayon and I was hoping to get a good one today. The problem was that the clouds were still there. When I was at the Hoyop-hoyopan Cave, I still saw the peak of the volcano. But now it is obscured once again. This is getting to be very frustrating since I was already here the previous day.

There was still a lot of light left so I decided to wait. I saw that there were also other people waiting for better conditions. I noticed that there was a rice field here and it was full of water. It made for nice opportunities for reflections. I was nice but I thought it would be better if I could see the peak itself. It is surprising to see how quickly conditions change around the mountain. Already some of the setting sun’s color were illuminating the clouds here. But the sun seems to be on the wrong side and it made the volcano too dark. I guess the best time to come would be early morning. It would be nice to see the volcano like I did that morning.
