My jeepney managed to drop me at the correct place for me to go to Hoyop-hoyopan Cave. I say managed to drop me because the jeepney kept stalling for some reason. It limped part of the way to the drop off point where I had to abandon the driver. The cave wasn’t along the main road, it there was a sign which pointed the way in. The is a path which goes further in. Fortunately, the way was shaded and it wasn’t very hot. I still needed to walk two kilometers to get to the cave entrance. I didn’t really know where I was going, all I can do was to trust the signs.
The path eventually starting going a little uphill. There were also other people here who didn’t look like they were tourists. Apparently, they were locals and they use the cave as a shortcut to get to their place. The Hoyop-hoyopan Cave isn’t very well developed. There was the cave entrance and a small sign pointing the way in. I don’t think there is any need for that. There were care takers here waiting for tourists and it seems it was their lucky day. Visitors can only go in with a guide as it is for most cave visits. It has been a while since my last cave visit and the last one wasn’t very nice, I hope this one would be better.
