It wasn’t lunch time yet but the sun was already very hot. There was no shade here in Coron-coron Beach apart from the beach huts which are for rent. I don’t know if anyone would catch me if I took some shelter there since they don’t expect visitors at this time of the year. There were a lot of huts here so I think a lot of people do come here. It was supposed to be peak rainy season but it was still like summer. I don’t know if this was climate change but it does make for good photos. I need to hurry though since taking photographs when the sun is very high isn’t that nice either.
I walked down the beach and I couldn’t help but notice that the beach was very clean. When I think about it, any rubbish in this very dark sand would standout like a sore thumb and the locals take good care of the sand here. It is their livelihood and a common resource. You can’t help if some rubbish from other parts of the world come washing ashore here at least they make sure to get rid of them quickly. I have seen other beaches in the country also being raked clean of rubbish every morning. I think it is a very good practice for them. The black sand seems to stretch further south but the hot sun was draining my strength. I turned back and head back to the main road out of town.
