Burger at Grand Cafe Plaza at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
We arrived early at the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and we managed to get a bit of sightseeing done. I didn’t know that the I Amsterdam sign was also at the airport. Fortunately for us, it was just outside the terminal building. We were already checked in and we still had a lot of time. We decided to go for some shopping and an early lunch. Amsterddam Airport Schiphol has a lot of options for these but we still had a look on the internet for some recommendations. One of the restaurants which popped up was Grand Cafe Plaza. I am not sure I can trust these reviews, after all we are just going there because someone said so.
Snacks at Hema in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
They claim to serve the best burgers in town and quite frankly it wasn’t that bad. The servings were generous and not extremely expensive. It was our last lunch in Amsterdam so we don’t really care about the price that much. For once, I had a mass market beer in this trip, it was of course a Heineken. It was only after consuming all those different Belgian beers that I come to understand what my friends say when beer tastes like water. While I may not consider myself a beer expert or anywhere near that, it was surprising to have that realization that these mass market beers are really not very tasty at all. I guess, I got spoiled by those sweet Belgian beers. I ended up looking for them in the local supermarket when I get the chance.
