The city of Hindeloopen is a small city by the shores of the IJsselmeer. Like a lot of Dutch cities, it has an affinity with water and there are a lot of canals which go through the city. I thought it was an attractive place to live in. It seems a lot of the houses here in the city have a canal running past it. I think it is much better than a concrete road. The canals were quite clean as well. I expect people would be taking care of their canals since it is where they live. Unsurprisingly, a lot of the residents here have their own boats much like how people would own cars elsewhere.
It is a pleasure to be walking around this city. It is small enough to explore on foot. A lot of parts of the city are picturesque almost like they came from a postcard. It was like those places which work well for photoshoots or Facebook profiles. Add the beautiful weather we were having and it is hard to take ugly pictures here. It is a bit surprising that there weren’t a lot of tourists here. Then again, if you ask me what is to see here, I probably won’t be able to answer the question since the entire place is the place to see here.
