I was unfortunately, extremely busy in the days leading to my trip to Belgium and I had not time to plan our trip. In fact, up to the night of the trip, I was still working until midnight. That is probably a sign that I needed a break. I managed to make it to Belgium without having to bring a laptop. I had a lot of stuff to do outside of work as well but I decided against bringing it along. I think it was all of the best since I won’t even have time to work on it anyway. The first day, we spent trying to explore the Brussels city center. It isn’t really very big here and there is probably just a few places to must see here. In fact, unknowingly, we were heading there right now.
We had our map marked by the staff at the Hotel Meininger and we did manage to find the place. From faraway, I noticed a very tall tower or was it a belfry. I thought it look very nice but we weren’t sure that place it was. It turned out it was the most important place in the entire Brussels city center. This was the La Grand-Place, one of the most beautiful squares in the entire city. One look at the square and I knew it was a special place. I was so excited at the square that I started snapping photos of the place.
