It was a rainy day and because of this we didn’t have any plans for the day. We were kind of planning to explore the city of Galway on foot, but the plans had to be aborted because of bad weather. This was such a shame because the past two days have not been that bad. I guess, the law of averages have finally caught up to us. Oh well, so what are we to do? What else to do but eat. We went into the pedestrian area of Galway city center to find a nice place to eat. There were a lot of places nearby but we ended up at the place called the King’s Head.
The King’s Head is a bar and restaurant. It seems it is quite well known here but we were late for lunch so there weren’t a lot of people at the time. Besides, we were also there to stay dry with the bad weather outside. The King’s Head was nice toasty inside and I made for a nice place to hang out. We had some pub food which isn’t really new to me anymore. I guess this is what I don’t like about eating out in Ireland, the variety isn’t that great. After all, how good can your roast of the day be? In fairness, the food at the King’s Head wasn’t that bad, it was doesn’t stand out that much for me. If I find myself here in the Galway City Center, I would probably end up eating here anyway.
