It was time for me to leave. The owner of the house kindly called a cab for me. She said that this she calls this company often whenever she needs a cab. I wasn’t sure of that since the driver didn’t seem to know her. Oh well, we said our farewells and I was one my way to the airport. I will only be taking the cab to Penn Station in Manhattan. I was in for a bit of stress since the afternoon traffic was already bad. I had to get out of the taxi earlier since I can’t wait no longer. I still needed to purchase tickets to get to Newark Airport. Fortunately, that took no time to do. There was a train heading to Newark Airport and I managed to board it. The train was quite full and I didn’t get a seat. I didn’t really matter since the ride will be a short one. New York to Newark by train would only take around thirty minutes.
The connection to the airport was good. From the train station, I transferred to the airport monorail which takes you to various passenger terminals. I forgot how busy the terminal is until I got back here. Fortunately, it was only busy and not chaotic. I checked in my stuff and head out to find some more food. I don’t get to eat outside too much back home since there wasn’t a lot of good options there. I thought even airport food would be better than what I had before. I had some Vietnamese noodles, something I haven’t had in a long time. It was authentic and nice. I walked around the terminal while waiting for my flight. There were a lot of shops here as well as restaurants. Not too bad if you are waiting for your flight and are bored out of your mind. Although I was only here for business, I really enjoyed my first visit to the United States. I got to meet a lot of people and made a very good friend. I don’t mind coming back here again. Perhaps a visit to the West Coast might be interesting.
