I managed to find my way to Hamilton Park at Weehawken, which is across the Hudson River. There is a great spot here to admire the New York skyline. The view was great but I thought it was too far. My camera can’t really take faraway objects and I was lucky enough to find a walkway to bring me down to the water’s edge. I didn’t know about this walkway and I just stumbled into it. Fortunately, I was close enough to the walkway to see it. It wasn’t a very long walk and before long I was already by the water’s edge. There was a nice little park by the water. By park I mean just a walkway which goes along the river.
Naturally, this seems to be a better spot to appreciate the New York City skyline it is is much closer. Unfortunately, it was still too far for my lens. I ended up taking photos with my phone just to get a closer look. It also turned out to be the best time to take photos of the skyline. The sun is getting low in the horizon and it happens to be right behind me. This illuminates the buildings perfectly, hopefully I would be able to take some photos of the buildings bathed in golden light. I’m quite hopeful since the weather has been great. It was hot but it was perfect for photographs.
