I’m pleased that I was able to find the Independence Hall by myself. This place is one of the most important places in the history of the United States and it is rightly a UNESCO World Heritage site. The whole point of me coming to Philadelphia is to visit this place. This would be my second UNESCO site in the United States. Finding the hall isn’t really that difficult, what with the numerous signs which are posted all over the city. Philadelphia is a very tourist friendly city and I think it shows in the large number of visitors this city gets.

I naturally wanted to go in the Independence Hall and I thought the Independence Visitor Center is the place to get tickets. I was just following the stream of people going here. It is possible that they were just after the air-conditioning since it was hot outside. There were people in period costumes showing of crafts. I think this is nice touch and it also gives the kids something to look at. I saw what looks like a ticket desk and inquired about entering the Independence Hall. The good news is, tickets are free. The bad news is, they limit the number of visitors and they ran out of the free tickets for that day, if I could come back the next day, that will be good. I am unable to go back the next day so I would have to content myself looking at the hall from the outside.
