It was getting late in the afternoon and it was a Sunday. Lest I forget, I am here in the United States for business and not for leisure. I would have my day packed with endless meetings but that is not important. I need to head back to the Port Authority bus terminal to catch my ride back to Livingston, New Jersey. It would be my first time to take the bus back so I was a bit anxious about the number of passengers who would take the same bus, after all, I don’t want to have to explain how I got stuck in New York because the bus was full.
On the way back, I passed by what is probably one of the busiest areas in New York. I actually caught a glimpse of this place as I was heading away from the bus station. It seems I have gone a long way around to see the sights. Times Square is probably the most famous squares in the world. It isn’t exactly a square in the but it is like an open area which somehow didn’t get built on. People familiar with this place would know that this is where the New Year countdown happens. And I happen to see the ball itself perched on top of a building. It seems that I was on the wrong side of Times Square but it is already exciting to see that iconic structure right in front of you.
