I couldn’t resist going in the Empire State Building, which is one of the most well known landmarks, not only in New York city, but in the world. A lot of movies I have seen involve the Empire State Building, whether it is a rendezvous point or just the target of a monster’s destructive power. The building rises 103 stories above the streets and for a long time was the tallest building in the world. It is also difficult to imagine that the building is already more than eighty years old. That is incredible considering the era it was built. Even without climbing up the tower, I know that there is an observation deck above but I didn’t bother going up.
The lobby wasnt very large, what made it feel crowded was the large number of tourists wanting to go up the tower. The lobby was reminiscent of the lobby of the Chrysler building where there was an abundance of gold color. There was also an image of the empire state building which is right behind the security desk. I was planning on going up an observation deck here in New York but I can only afford one of them. Much as I want to climb this building, I need the Empire State Building to be in the photo and I can’t do that with me standing on top of it. I would probably climb the building one of these days but it might be in some other trip.
