I came to the United States for business but the back of my mind would always wander off that I should go visit this or that place. New York city was the first place that came to mind. It was the closest to where I was having the meetings and it was convenient enough to commute to. If you ask me what is the landmark I would most want to see, without a doubt, that would have to be the Empire State Building. This building is probably the towering symbol of New York city and it is also a tourist attraction. When the bus was just entering the tunnel into the Manhattan, I caught a glimpse of the Empire State Building and I immediately thought how beautiful it looks in real life.
It is kind of hard to miss this towering landmark since it is easy to spot from far away, but not really from up close. The buildings in New York are very tall and thus can easily obscure any other building behind it, especially if you are up close. The building soars to 103 floors above street level and it is understandably difficult to observe from nearby. I was at the foot of the famous tower and I am unable to get a proper photo of the building. Unfortunately, the part of the building which I was most interested in, the crowns was not visible to me. I probably need to walk at little further down the road to observe the building better.
