Statue of Saint Francis of Assisi at the Ards Friary
I probably couldn’t have picked a better day to go on vacation and go on a road trip. The sun was out and it was a bright and sunny day. There were clouds over the horizon but they don’t worry me that much. It is very rare that we get good weather here that it rains more often that it doesn’t and when it doesn’t it is overcast most of the time. You can probably count the number times you would see the sun here. So when it does come out, people usually go out. This is a habit I seem to be picking up since coming here. It helps me appreciate the simpler things in life.
Ards Friary By the Water
I was here at Ards Friary only a day before and it was a miserable day. It was the total opposite today and I was trying to maximize my time here. I don’t think I mind retracing my steps here because the scenery would be totally different from what it was previously. The water has turn into a nice shade of blue green. That is a hint as to how shallow the water really is. I am in a hurry to retrace my steps since I still have a lot of trail to cover. Hopefully the weather would stay this way for the rest of the day.
