As I expected from exploring parts of county Donegal. The walk along the Ards Froest Park path was beautiful. The path generally follows the shore until it starts climbing up. The rise isn’t very drastic and it is easy enough for beginners. The good thing about this path is that it still follows the shore. So you have a good view of the shore from the top. I like these kinds of views, since they tend to be spectacular. I wasn’t disappointed here. From one viewpoint, I caught a glimpse of another beach in the distance. I doesn’t seem to be that far so I went to have a look.
I was very happy that there was another view point to take photos of that beach from the top. My wide angle camera was able to make the most of the view. After taking a break at the viewpoint, I decided to take a closer look at the beach. I found what seems to be a shortcut down to the beach. I can tell because there seems to be a lot of foot traffic there. However, it didn’t seem to be the main trail since it passes through the plants. I went ahead and pushed forward with the short cut. Trying to avoid any sharp branches along the way. Some pars of the path I needed to grab onto the plants to ensure my footing. I had a camera dangling from my neck and it was ruining my already not so good balance. Thankfully, I managed to reach the bottom without incident.
