My satnav brought me all the way out to this remote part of already remote county Donegal. I have never heard of Crohy but I managed to get here in one piece. The satnav brought me here via the scenic route. I wasn’t such what it was but I was getting anxious when the road started going up the hill. The hill seems like there were very few visitors and even residents. Probably a few farms here but it was mostly deserted. The road up the hill was also very narrow and it was only wide enough for one car. Fortunately, my trusty car was up to the task of navigating this rough terrain. Along the way, the views were spectacular as it looked over the sea. I wasn’t sure if this was the spot but I was already liking what I was seeing.
I decided to keep going and probably head back here on the way out of the area. There weren’t really any signs which tell me that I have arrived. Only the satnav was saying I was in the right place. Right or wrong, it didn’t really matter anymore since I was already seeing amazing scenery. Probably, a bit different from the photo online but still nice. The beautiful weather helps a lot as it brings out the greens and the blues. At this point, I wans’t sure how to proceed, I started stopping the car every now and then just to take photos. There were parking areas for the car so that you aren’t in the way. There was a time when I wanted to take a photo of the cliffside that I trespassed in a farm. I wasn’t sure how legal it was but I made sure that the gates were closed to prevent animals from getting in our out. I thought this was quite interesting as you get to experience part of life in a farm. Along the way there was an old bathtub for the cows to drink from.
